Currently we offer a short 3 day/2 night residential trip in Years 5 and 6. We hope all children will go on these trips which help develop independence and confidence. In line with guidance from both the Department of Education and Essex County Council, the School will levy a charge for accommodation unless parents are in receipt of certain benefits (details from the School Office). To help in budgeting, the School arranges a payment card system to enable the costs to be paid in instalments.
Mole Class are heading to Flatford Mill in March and Owl Class are due to visit Stubbers Activity and Adventure Centre in July. A report on the trips will be displayed below when available.
Here’s a taster of what our previous trips were like:
The class had a good night’s sleep and have enjoyed a good breakfast of cereal, hash browns, beans and toast. They are busy clearing their tents – and are doing a great job!
Activities are a mixture of bell boats, laser tag, high ropes and abseiling today!
Owl Class had a good night’s sleep and were up with the dawn chorus! The children have had a variety of cereals, toast and sausage butties…
Archery, raft building, bush craft and abseiling today!
We have had a great afternoon, all the children have done climbing, jet skis and team activities. They have settled well into their tents and had sausage, mash and veg for tea, followed by Swiss roll. Outdoor games this evening!
We have arrived safely at Stubbers in plenty of time for the safety talk and our first adventure.
