Stay ‘n’ Play

Due to the popularity of Stay and Play, if you have a regular booking for certain days and wish to book an ad hoc day please check availability of a place with the office before making payment.

We are currently taking bookings for our after school club Stay ‘n’ Play.  This is held daily in the small hall off the main reception area. These sessions begin at 3.10pm and end at 6.00pm. The cost will be £9 per session. During this time the children will choose from a variety of activities listed below and will also have a light healthy tea with fruit and a drink:

  • An outdoor activity (team game or nature hunt)
  • Indoor craft activity
  • Board and card games
  • Role play activities
  • Table tennis
  • Lego and construction
  • Reading activities

If you are interested in your child attending any evenings at this club please fill out an admission slip, which you can find in the resepction area, and return to the office with payment. Stay ‘n’ Play After School Club


The club provides a safe, secure and happy environment for children to relax, play and have fun. A range of activities for all ages will be available, both in and outdoors (subject to the weather). There will also be an area for children to do their homework, if they wish, and staff will provide support as they are able. The children make choices about which activities they would like to do and how they spend their time with us.
The club is available to children attending Great Leighs Primary School. The children will be cared for by experienced staff and the adult to child ratio will be 1:8.

Registration

Before a child can be admitted to the after school club we require the enclosed registration form and permission slips to be returned duly completed. Please ensure all sections are completed and details of any dietary requirements are included on the registration form.

Hours

The club will open Monday to Fridays during term time from 3:10pm to 6:00pm, with the exception of Bank Holidays and non-pupil days.

Meal

For those children attending a light tea will be provided.  The club will follow the schools Healthy Eating Policy. Special diets can be catered for on request.

Fees

The cost of a session will be £9.00. Payment of fees will be in advance and the first month’s fee must be paid when registering your child and prior to them starting.  Invoices will be issued each month and must be paid by the required date.  If payment is not received we reserve the right to discontinue the provision for your child.  Fees are not refundable if your child is absent from the club for any reason or in the event of bad weather or any other circumstances that result in early closure of the club.
Please note that if your child is collected late there will normally be a charge of £5.00 per 15 minutes, which will be invoiced separately and must be paid promptly.  Fees are reviewed annually in the Summer Term.

Cancellation

In the event that you need to cancel a pre-booked session, at least 24 hours notice is required, and if your child is attending the club on a Monday then we need to know the Friday before if you are requiring a refund.  This is due to having to employ another member of staff when the numbers go over the required amount (adult to child ratio).
